RICS Homebuyer Surveys
The homebuyer survey is a brief version of the building survey, but more detailed than a mortgage valuation, which simply checks the building is worth the amount you are asking to borrow for it.
In our experience this report is the most popular, and is designed if you need more extensive information whilst buying or selling a conventional house, flat or bungalow, built from normal building materials and in a reasonable condition.
Homebuyer surveys are only suitable for modern homes that are in generally good condition. If the property is old or dilapidated, it will require a more detailed and thorough building survey.
